Timber Home Pricing

At Logangate Timber Homes, our timber frame pricing can range depending on the features that our customers are looking for, the location of the job site, and fluctuations in the US and global economy. Like with traditional stick-built homes, timber frame pricing comes as a general range instead of a hard set-in-stone sticker price. Additional factors such as turnkey elements can also impact the overall price of the home.

With these disclaimers being said, here are our estimates for our timber frame homes.

Timber home turnkey costs are dependent on a variety of factors including:

  • The location, site conditions, accessibility, and steepness of the lot
  • The size of the home
  • The complexity of the timber home design
  • Outside living areas such as decks, covered decks, and garages.
  • The quality and choice of finishing materials such as windows, doors, kitchen and bathroom cabinets and fittings, fireplaces, plumbing, and electrical fixtures, floor, and wall finishes, and roofing.
  • The cost of labor and sub-trades in your area
  • Building regulations in your building area (engineering and /or architectural stamps)

AutoCAD Factors into Cabin Kit Pricing

AutoCAD is a software program that is used to create realistic 2-dimension floor plans. The purpose of these floor plans is to accurately and precisely visualize how the space will look in a 2-dimensional space without having to build a physical model before the dot-com era of computers and digital tools. AutoCAD is typically used by architects, home builders, or really any other professional that needs to create an accurate depiction of a building or home.

Cabin Kit Pricing: Turnkey defined

What is “turnkey” and how does that factor into the timber frame pricing of your Logangate Timber Home? In general, the term “turnkey” (when used in the context of timber frame pricing or of homes in general) refers to the immediate use of the home. Turnkey homes are usually fully furnished with little to no effort needed for the immediate living of the space.

Turnkey costs for your Logangate Timber Home should be very close to what your standard stick-built costs are for your market.  Stick-built numbers vary greatly around the country and that number, give or take 10%, is a very good budget estimate.
