You CAN HAVE Energy Efficient & Affordable

Years ago when people had homes built there really wasn’t a big emphasis on building an energy efficient home. Things have definitely changed but that doesn’t mean that every builder is focused on the environment. In fact, many builders just want to keep costs down, so they will use materials that cost less in an effort to stay on budget. Here at Logangate Timber Homes, we want you to know that you can get your energy efficient home and STILL stay on budget.

A Logangate Kit Home will SAVE YOU BIG on your Energy Bills

When you hear the term Kit Home it is simply referring to a prebuilt home. Here at Logangate Timber Homes, our Kit Home is made of pre-assembled walls (panelized construction) with the windows already installed. We also pre-cut and sand the Douglas Fir Rafters and fabricate the insulated foam roof panels. With this process, you can have your home dried in in only a few days minimizing your homes exposure to the weather. We also as a standard, install 5/8” polyiso rigid foam board underneath the wall sheathing. Not only do you get an R-4 value from the product but it also creates an important thermal break. We think this is a much better system than standard 2×6 walls with only OSB sheathing. Since the walls of our homes are built in our facility, you can get an air tight seal that is hard to create outside of our factory setting, eliminating drafts and helping you save energy dollars.

There are Reason’s why Douglas Fir Timbers ARE Rated BEST FOR Home Building

When you hear the term post and beam construction it is referring to the term for building home frames with large timbers. Typically steel plates often tie members together. This allows for a home to have much more clerestory space to enhance the beauty of wood. Here at Logangate Timber Homes, we are proud of our reputation as one of the trusted leaders in the industry. We’ve earned our name because we build amazing homes at fair and honest prices!

Stop Settling for a Nice Home—Your DREAM House is Within Reach

Many homeowners that I come across love the look of a Timber frame home but think it’s way out of their price range when it comes down to it. They admire these homes when they see them on TV shows but when it comes time to build they end up settling. Many end up going with a more typical and standard flat drywall ceiling. The thinking behind this is that a custom timber frame style of home is going to break the bank. Here at Logangate Timber Homes, this is what we do best! Why have standard flat drywall ceilings when an expansive Timber frame style home can be yours for about the same price? Our post & beam construction provides vaulted wood ceilings supported by the strength of Douglas Fir timbers. The benefit of Douglas fir timbers is that they are stronger, more durable and can handle higher impacts and weight loads. This means your timber home can withstand more extreme weather and are built to last longer than other wood types.
