One Choice of Wood is BEAUTIFUL, Exceptionally Strong & Versatile

To me there is nothing more beautiful than a spacious timber home with expansive ceilings and drop dead gorgeous views. We here at Logangate Timber Homes are proud of our reputation as one of the trusted leaders in the building industry. We’ve earned our reputation by building some of the highest quality homes throughout the beautiful state of North Carolina as well as throughout the U.S.

Optional Foundation vs. Traditional Block or Poured Walls

Foundation walls and basements can be the coldest dampest places in the home. One option many of our clients are choosing is Superior Walls. Superior Walls has been the world leader in custom residential precast concrete foundation systems since 1981. Their product creates comfortable living space, not just basement space, while lowering energy costs. That’s why Superior Walls are in demand as the superior foundation for new custom homes.
When provided with 1/2″ of Dow® THERMAX™ insulation and 4-1/2″ of rigid foam insulation, the Xi Plus Wall system has an insulation value of R-21.3. That’s a tremendous R-Value for your basement.

Our Controlled Factory Setting will SAVE you Energy Dollars

When you hear the term ‘prefabricated home‘ it is referring to the fact that the home has pre-made pieces. These pieces can include walls, gable panels, roof panels, etc. Here at Logangate Timber Homes, building beautiful custom, dream homes is our specialty. We build your prefabricated home wall panel by panel in our controlled factory setting. This allows for the highest quality construction and therefore a precision fit on the job site. Since the walls of our homes are built in our facility, you can get an air tight seal that is hard to create outside of our controlled factory setting, eliminating drafts and helping you save energy dollars. We are so committed to green building, that we practice sustainable manufacturing, conserving electricity, use renewable energy and strive toward zero waste.

How to Build On or Near a Flood Plain?

Does the sound of living incredibly close to water sound like paradise to you? If you crave this type of tranquil and serene living, then a stilt home, also known as a Piling home is for you. Simply speaking, a Piling home is a home that is built on raised piles that serve as a foundation for the home. The poles resemble stilts that the home sits securely on top of. This type of construction typically rests 10-12 feet off the ground to safely allow for high tide. The main reason a Piling home is built is to protect against flooding. These homes allow homeowners to feel as if they are on vacation all year round because they appear to almost hover over the water.
